What does a haircut mean to a homeless person? On a very human level, it means someone cares. Gift Card Karma recently gave a donated Creative Hair Design Salon & Spa Omaha NE gift card to Youth Emergency Services who, in turn, gave it to one of the homeless teens they serve.

It's not going to change their life right this minute but after the haircut, when they look in the mirror and they don't recognize themselves, they may say "Ok, I've still got this. I can stand with everyone else here. I can go to that job interview or I can walk into that place and feel confident to do so."

Do you want to have an empathetic connection with someone in need in our community? Consider donating your unused or partially redeemed gift cards to Gift Card Karma. www.giftcardkarma.org/donate If you like what we are doing here at GCK, share this post with your friends. Thank you.

Your donation to Gift Card Karma is transparent and traceable.

Donors have a growing desire to know more about where their charitable donation goes and how it is used. GCK can trace your gift card donation from donor to nonprofit organization to recipient and, in most cases, send you an email as to how the card was used.

For example, Margaret M. donated a $50 restaurant gift card. GCK passed the card on to MT JAVA (More than Just A Village Academy), a local nonprofit providing leadership opportunities to disadvantaged teens. They took the kids who had the highest number of community service hours out to eat. No big deal, except the vast majority of these kids had never eaten at a sit down restaurant! Imagine the impact that dinner had on them.

If you want to know how your donation helps those in need in our community, donate a gift card at www.giftcardkarma.org/donate. There are 3 fast and easy ways to do it. Do it today.

Kindest regards,

Susan Pedersen, Founder

We are pleased to announce that you can now donate your partially redeemed or unused gift cards directly to HETRA via www.giftcardkarma.org/HETRA. 100% of the gift cards received via this webpage will go to HETRA in support of their mission.

It's fast, it's easy and heck, what else are you going to do with the $1.23 left on your Target gift card? Consider it compassionate regifting 😉
